The Log House at Sweet Trees: A Spiritual Retreat Center.

November-December 2008 News

Just a reminder that, even though we're NOT meeting this month, CinDay storytellers are busy during this holiday season.

Gye Miller reports that the Chain of Fools storytelling event at Greater Love Christian Church, Dayton, was a great evening of storytelling.
"...The event went wonderfully, even better than I expected.  Mary Kercheval-Short came up from Cincinnati and Ellen Patton from Brazil was there.  The photographer will be getting photos to me shortly, and I have to edit the audio and DVD, hopefully soon. It ended up being just tellers from my church, and it was a really good experience for them.  They are excited about putting together more telling events.."

Meanwhile, Tom and Amelia are preparing for a trip to India at the invitation of Fr. Jose Palakeel, Roman Catholic priest and member of the missionary Society of St. Thomas.

And I'm sure many of you are preparing to tell Christmas stories at your local churches.

Our next meeting is January 22, 2009
One of the things we'll be talking about in 2009:
How to handle the occassional Request For a Teller that comes to our Guild, including storyteller resumes, matching the teller to the event, and performance fees.

And, of course, we'll be learning new stories and working on new techniques.

Hope to see you in January!
In the meantime, go to http://www.nbsint.org/index.html, the Network website for an update on what's happening around the Network.

And don't forget to renew your Network of Biblical Storytellers membership!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
